This data helps business teams drive improvement in key business metrics, customer experience and business results. The BI Analyst will also interact with various development teams, project managers, senior management, and external vendors.
This individual understands how data is turned into information and knowledge and how the knowledge supports and enables key business processes. He or she must develop an in-depth understanding of the business environment and possess both strong analytical and communication skills. Further, the BI Analyst must work well within a team environment.
Essential Functions
The BI Analyst will be a core member of the Business Intelligence team which maintains the source of truth for Quench's data across multiple systems. Specific responsibilities include:
- Translate business needs to technical specifications
- Design, build and deploy BI solutions
- Maintain and support data analytics platforms
- Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
- Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
- Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
- Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
- Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
- Develop and update technical documentation
Qualifications
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or specialized training/certification, or equivalent work experience.
- Typically requires 2 years of related work experience
- Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist
- Familiarity with Reporting and Visualization tools (Microsoft Power BI experience a plus)
- Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Salesforce experience a plus
