ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

FTI Consulting has five main practice areas focused on corporate finance, strategic communications, economic and financial consulting, forensic and litigation consulting and technology. This role is responsible for marketing planning and delivery in North and South America, along with assisting in new business development.

The role will require frequent dialogue with Senior Managing Directors (SMDs) and Managing Directors (MDs) across all of the segment's practices and sectors to understand marketing needs, new business targets and design and deliver activities accordingly.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Work closely with SMDs and MDs in North and South America to develop and manage the marketing strategy and business pipeline for the strategic communication segment.
  • Work closely with our Global Marketing lead to ensure consistencies across the UK, EMEA an APAC.
  • Design an annual marketing strategy that incorporates all practices and sectors, along with a measurement framework to track KPIs and report on ROI.
  • Design and deliver campaigns to elevate sector and practice expertise, and the FTI strategic Communication Segment as a whole. Tactics will include, but are not limited to thought leadership, web updates, events, speaking engagements, sponsorships, awards & recognition, earned media, multimedia (videos, podcasts, etc.), digital/social media and ancillary marketing materials.
  • Encourage greater collaboration between the firm's practice areas through cross-practice/cross-sector marketing initiatives and involvement in firm-wide industry groups. Where applicable encourage and foster cross-segment and corporate marketing initiatives.
  • Manage budgets and responsibility for monitoring and reporting/ROI

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Eight-to-twelve years of marketing experience, preferably at a law or consulting firm.
  • Experience in creating and managing marketing efforts across digital and traditional channels.
  • Experience and knowledge of the marketing funnel, critical KPIs and measurement frameworks.
  • Experience in client service and managing projects that are on time and on budget

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Possess excellent marketing planning and delivery capabilities
  • An understanding of multi-channel marketing and experience of delivering compelling content tailored for the channel and audience
  • Be able to work effectively and confidently with multiple senior stakeholders within a complex structure
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects, competing demands and stakeholders
  • Be an excellent influencer and communicator (both written and verbal)
  • Be able to work independently and to develop ideas and projects without supervision, as well as being effective as part of a team
  • Have experience of managing a marketing budget
  • Have experience of using CRM software and online mailing systems
  • Spanish language skills a plus
