Vision Technologies is a full-service IT/IP integration company for commercial enterprise and federal clients. Solutions include: Design, engineering, installation and support services of network infrastructure (fiber/copper cabling), audio visual systems, electronic security, network route/switch engineering, WiFi, Public Safety and Cellular Distributed Antenna Systems and professional/managed services.

Vision is currently looking for a high caliber Network Engineer with extensive experience integrating and supporting, WiFi, Route/Switch networking and other converged technologies.

The Network Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of large data communications or telecommunications networks. This individual is also responsible for the design and implementation of LANs/WANs using hub switching and router technology.

Responsibilities

The Network Engineer will work closely with project teams and other stakeholders to integrate network solutions and maximize network performance. As a Network Engineer the following responsibilities are required:
  • Level Networking; Routing and Switching; implementation and troubleshooting; design
  • Implement and manage hardware routing and switching, WAPs and other infrastructure components to ensure optimal network performances
  • Work with customer Network and IT team manage team to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, such as topology, wiring diagrams, rack elevations, and Close-out documentation
  • Possess a thorough understanding of LAN/WAN architectures and designs, cloud networking and mobile networking
  • Design / implement / troubleshoot network and communication issues
  • Remain committed to expanding customer Cisco/Aruba technical expertise through attendance of coaching sessions, design reviews, and workshops/trade shows
  • Design, deploy and troubleshoot IP and wireless networks such as IP network security, certification, authentication, enterprise IP networking, IP network management, remote access, and network access controls
  • Provide customer technical support through assessment, management, and offering resolutions
  • Regularly be on-site at customer premises
  • Handle multi-variable environments and any potential issues or difficulties
  • Identify potential opportunities for additional Cisco/Aruba business


Network Management Services (NMS)
  • Planning and monitoring the installation of communications circuits
  • Managing and monitoring local area networks and associated equipment (e.g., bridges, routers, modem pools, and gateways)
  • Conducting short and long-term plans to meet communications requirements
  • Performing hardware/software analyses to provide comparative data of performance characteristics and suitability within the existing systems environment
  • Preparing tradeoff studies and evaluations for vendor equipment
  • Generating network monitoring/performance report, for LAN/WAN utilization studies
  • Recommending network design changes/enhancements for improved system availability and performance

    Qualifications

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or 10+ years of technical experience.
    • Seven (7+) years of progressive experience in planning, designing, implementation, and analyzing data or telecommunications networks. This individual must have experience with network analysis/management tools.

    three or more of the following Certifications

    Cisco- CCNA, CCNP, CCIE

    Aruba- ACMA, ACMP, ACMX, ACDP
