Reports to: Senior Manager, Assessment Services

Summary
The Assessment Design Specialist is a key member of the Assessment Design team within Assessment Services. This position is responsible for working with a portfolio of clients that have retained Prometric's services in test development. The Assessment Specialist ensures that all test development activities are implemented in a manner that adheres to industry standards. Consequently, the Assessment Specialist should possess knowledge of measurement theory, test development processes, and Prometric products and be able to apply this knowledge to address client needs.

To be successful, the Assessment Specialist will:

• Work collaboratively with clients to determine their goals for the testing program and advise them on the best course of action;

• Understand the various products available from Prometric's Assessment Services Department to be able to make appropriate suggestions to meet a client's needs;

• Apply knowledge of measurement theory to develop effective solutions that address the examination program needs while anticipating potential implementation challenges; and

• Conduct job analyses and standard setting according to industry best practices.

To effectively complete the abovementioned tasks, the Assessment Specialist is expected to collaborate, both in person and virtually, with other staff members within Assessment Services, Client Success, and Business Development and Sales teams in scheduling work and gathering requirements. The Assessment Design Specialist will conduct job analyses and standard setting, write multi-year project plans and technical reports, and oversee schedules for assigned programs. The Assessment Design Specialist will also be called upon to facilitate in-person and virtual meetings with client representatives and/or subject matter experts (SMEs).
Main Duties
+ Work collaboratively with clients to establish short- and long-term goals and to develop in-year test development activity schedules

+ Conduct job analyses and standard setting according to industry best practices

+ Collaborate with Business Development, Sales, and Client Success teams in proposal development and participate in sales meetings

+ Represent Assessment Services in client meetings and in internal departmental and cross-functional meetings

+ Ensure that the quality of work products is in accordance with company and industry standards

+ Ensure that all tasks are completed according to established schedules, adhering to competing absolute deadlines in a cost-effective manner

+ Develop planning documents and technical reports for clients

+ Coordinate, prioritize, and complete project activities within contractual timelines

+ Become proficient on Prometric's internal, proprietary technology platforms

+ Follow established procedures and guidelines, and comply with item security practices

+ Facilitate in-person and web-based meetings for various client-based stakeholders

+ Other duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications & Experience
+ Master's degree in education, measurement, or related field or equivalent work experience

+ Five years of previous experiencein the test development industryin education or professional certification/licensure

+ Knowledge of validity theory and measurement concepts

+ Previous experience conducting job analysis and standard setting both in-person meetings and remotely

+ Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; able to write detailed reports documenting the test development process

+ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

+ Proven dependability and high regard for security

+ Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously, and work under pressure and meet exacting deadlines

+ Ability to meet quality, service, and productivity metrics
