The Precision for Medicine team develops assays and runs global logistics for Clinical Trials by using biomarkers to stratify patients, incomparably improving R&D efficiency and success for our clients. Position Summary

The Associate Scientist will perform specialized immunological, biochemical or cell-based assays for commercial clients (assay examples include ELISA, ELISpot, ADA, NAb, Luminex, MSD, or Biacore. Maintains specialized expertise in one or more assay types and works independently to develop and troubleshoot assays and report results. Provides technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff, either as direct reports or part of a matrix. Duties also include preparation of validation protocols, SOPs, written reports, and data presentations.

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to

  • Designs and conducts immunological assays including but not limited to ELISA, ELISpot, ADA, NAb, Luminex, MSD, or Biacore
  • Prepares clear and well-written documents, including validation protocols, SOPs, and reports
  • Provides technical guidance and oversight to junior staff
  • Participates in Client Discussions
  • Independently organizes data prior to submission to regulatory agencies in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
  • Makes recommendations to management on process improvements and assay efficiencies
  • Ensures that client deliverables are provided on time
  • Maintains a clean and safe lab environment


Qualifications

Minimum Required:
  • Master's Degree in Life Sciences or related field with 2+ years' relevant lab experience or
  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or related field with 8+ years' relevant lab experience

Other required:
  • Demonstrated ability to independently develop, troubleshoot, and validate assays
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs.; frequently required to sit, grasp, and use right/left finger dexterity; may be exposed to a cold freezer environment (freezer temperatures range between -20ºC -196ºC)
  • Must be able to read, write, speak fluently and comprehend the English language

Other Preferred:
  • Familiarity with GLP and GDP
  • Experience related to Mammalian cell culture; ELISA; ELISpot; Luminex; MSD; Biacore
