Summary
  • Assist and provide training on health and safety programs, policies, procedures by identifying training priorities, target audiences, delivery methods and timing. Training documentation and retention.
  • Assist with maintaining files in compliance with OSHA/DTSC/BAAQM/SWPPS and other regulatory regulations and in compliance with our policies including accident/injury file.
  • Coordinate hazardous waste removal and documentation
  • Coordinate the Emergency Response Team (ERT)
  • Conducts monthly audits and stocks first aid kits. Monthly inspections on emergency lighting
  • Perform, document, and assign findings on IIPP inspections
  • Support facilities operations and functions.


Qualifications
  • High School Diploma and some college preferred.
  • Experience in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or related field of study is preferred.
  • Experience of construction safety, current Federal and OSHA requirements. CPR/FA/AED.
  • Ergonomics Evaluator experience preferred.
  • Must have some background in health, safety or related field.
  • Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
  • Strong work ethic - willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must be able to convey information effectively inwriting, presentations and speeches.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have medical or religious exemption.
  • Ability to lift, move, push, and pull equipment on a regular basis.
  • Walking most of the day.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, stretch, climb stairs on a continuous basis. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
  • Should be able to handle outdoor temperature for a reasonable period of time. Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
