The Opportunity:
Our Saint Luke's North Bariatric program is growing and is hiring a full-time Bariatric Program Specialist. This position is a part of our General Surgery Practice. This is a great opportunity for a current Medical Assistant to expand their skillset.
Shift Details:
Position works Monday through Friday 8 to 4:30
The Work:
- Position is responsible for the navigation of the Bariatric patient from initial contact, seminar registration and/or attendance,
- Position supports patient through medical consultation, multi-disciplinary program completion, surgery, and after care.
- The Bariatric Program Specialist works to ensure that the quality of patient experience exceeds expectations.
- Position facilitates the overall relationship with the patient, provider, care team and family members.
- The Program Specialist is responsible for patient financial counseling, payment plan, credit application and insurance prior-authorization
- Position coordinates the completion of COE program requirements supporting program marketing communication initiatives meets program enrollment targets.
Our care team model for the bariatric program is 2 surgeons per bariatric program specialist.
