The Opportunity:
Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City is seeking a Clinical Research Manager to manage and provide oversight of all activities of the Clinical Research Nurses, Study Coordinators, and Clinical Research Associates who are responsible for patient enrollment, compliance, data acquisition and follow-up of assigned clinical research studies and research projects.
This position will be responsible for ensuring studies staywithin budget and will partner with contract analysis to determine study feasability. As a leader of the team, this role prepares periodic reports of meetings with representatives of sponsoring organization regarding patient recruitment, data forms, and patient follow up. This position will also
assist with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. This is a great opportunity to interact collaboratively with peers as well as all other levels of the organization and establish a strong rapport with physicians
The Work:
- Responsible for staff recruitment/retention efforts.
- Oversees the training and orientation program for research study coordination staff.
- Has specific background and training in clinical research.
- Has excellent knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and FDA guidelines and requirements.
- Provides oversight and assists with internal monitoring to ensure that studies are conducted in accordance with sponsor protocols, GCP, industry guidelines, and regulatory agency standards.
- Has demonstrated good management, leadership, and communication skills.
