Key responsibilities:
- Write, document, execute and maintain test cases written in Python while working closely with senior members of the product verification and validation team.
- Create unit tests for areas of the product that do not lend themselves to automated UI level tests.
- Create, maintain and enhance test framework tools to improve the testing workflow.
- Carry out manual bench testing of features that have no other test coverage.
- Reproduce bugs in the office and identify faulty software or hardware components for further analysis by the Engineering team.
- Produce written test reports.
- Participate in the testing phase of the Software Development Life Cycle using some advanced testing tools.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and practices.
- Strong knowledge of the Python software languages.
- Experience in testing event driven multi-threaded software.
- Working knowledge and experience in the following areas is desirable; Squish (or similar automation tool), continuous integration tools, Test and Defect Management tools.
- Strong verbal, written, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
