Job Purpose:

Coordinate day to day import/export administration duties and ensure that all trade compliance regulations and company policies regarding imports/exports are followed. Support Shipping and Receiving Departments as well as Accounting, etc. as required.

  • Prepare export shipment documentation (Commercial Invoice, SLI & other applicable documents).
  • Schedule and coordinate high volume of standard & critical shipments for customer orders.
  • Interact with customer care team, shipping team, carriers, and forwarding agents to support shipment activities.
  • Conduct research of shipment issues to support resolution.
  • Manage relationships with freight forwarders
  • Compile shipment data to meet reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate archives; document retention process in accordance with company/legal requirements.
  • Ensure local compliance with all import rules and regulations, company policies, and customs compliance SOPs.
  • Request rulings on appropriate Schedule B classifications; facilitate ECCN determinations as required.
  • Complete end user/customer screenings as required through MK Denial
  • Identify and help facilitate applications for duty drawbacks and help manage/mitigate applicable tariffs
  • Screen Export Sched B, ECCN classifications, Country of Origin data for products as needed.
  • File AES/ACE (ITN) with Census Bureau to meet export requirements.
  • Facilitate import shipment logistics for inbound raw materials & components; prepare associated documentation.


Education and Experience:
  • Associates Degree in related field
  • 3-5 years' experience in import/export trade compliance, customs brokerage, or related international logistics field


Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
  • Strong customer service/communication skills (verbal and Written)
  • Experience with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • ERP knowledge - SAP helpful, similar system required.
  • Experience with processing international shipments in UPS, Fed Ex and related shipping software
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
