Areas of Responsibility:

Plan and execute sales activities in UK for our Construction business.

Duties:
  • Responsible for managing all Direct Construction Sales for Topcon Positioning Great Britain.
  • Lead Sales team to achieve new business sales revenues through direct sales and provide a leadership support function: supervise, coach and train the team to increase personal performance and maintain team values.
  • Ensure that the team perform against agreed targets and KPIs.
  • Set and agree targets and sales strategies with the Managing Director and ensure individual and team targets are met and maintained.
  • Responsible for the construction sales budget, working with the Managing Director.
  • Work with the Global Construction Business Unit to agree the long-term construction sales strategy.
  • Build innovative and targeted plans for the Sales team to grow market share for each of their own regions.
  • Direct, optimise and coordinate the sales cycle.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts to the Management group and purchasing team.
  • Maintain sales metrics and KPIs, analyse data to assess and report on team performance and implement improvements.
  • Work with the Sales team and the Operations team to support the day to day management of customer accounts.
  • Work closely with other functions to ensure the Sales team are equipped with the appropriate tools and sales materials.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, in line with Health and Safety regulations
  • Work within the confines of the General Data Protection Regulations; respecting the rights of Data Subjects and ensuring that personal data is processed and described in the Company's Data Protection Policy.
  • Assist in other areas of the company's operations (within capabilities) and other as required.


Person Specification:
  • Proven working experience as a Sales Manager.
  • Experience of Salesforce CRM for managing and maintaining a sales pipeline to achieve sales targets.
  • Demonstrable record of attained sales and profitability growth.
  • Qualification in Sales Management or equivalent experience.
  • Experience or knowledge of construction or civil engineering.
  • Ability to motivate and manage a sales team, previous management experience would be an advantage.
  • Ability to collate and analyse commercial data using various IT packages and software.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Capability to take ownership and responsibility.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Financial and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to negotiate and build strong relationships.
  • Excellent communication with the ability to write articulate and effective proposals and reports in response to customer needs.
  • Full driving licence.
