What you will do:
This position is responsible for providing broad human resources support to employees and managers in China. The position focuses on developing people capability, building a high performance culture and maximising the value of investments in people.
- Responsible for end-to-end recruitment including, planning, job description development, job profiling, advertising, interviewing, employment agreements, HRIS maintenance and branding activities (job fairs/ university career fairs) and onboarding.
- Point of contact for employee relations for all employees & managers. Provide support to the General Manager and Director of HR in all HR-relevant matters, including the preparation of promotions, remuneration, job changes, leave requests, discipline, terminations etc. Solve inter-personal work-related issues between employees and participate in investigations which may result in disciplinary action or termination. Ensure equal, consistent treatment aligned to legislation and company policy are applied.
- Coordinate and support the ongoing development of people capability and support-related HR processes, such as performance review, goal setting, talent review and engagement surveys. Implement training programs and other approved development actions.
- Maintain all HR documentation, reporting and administration requirements including Workday (HRIS).
- Coordinate team and social activities in conjunction with the General Manager to maintain employee engagement.
- Seek improvement opportunities and new initiatives within the employee lifecycle which align with the HR Vision and Mission
- Support and collaborate with other HR team members and activities. Participate in the global HR team for two way learning and development.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
What you need:
- Broad knowledge and experience in Human Resources, including: employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training and development.
- Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese required.
- Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and proactive.
- Have a desire to collaborate in order to achieve results (both with the global HR team and local Operations).
- Contribute in a team environment through developing positive working relationships that are based on trust and integrity.
- Evidence of the practice of maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- High level computer literacy (Internet/MS Office Suite/SaaS).
- Experience using Workday or another SaaS HRIS.
- Analytical mind-set with a keen eye for detail and the ability to problem solve.
- Qualifications in human resources, psychology, business or equivalent experience.
- Training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and/ or preventive labor relations, preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organisations and ongoing community involvement, preferred.
- Experience in a technology, professional services, engineering or similar industry preferred.
- Experience in a large, global, matrixed company is beneficial.
- Experience with job profiling (Radford or other methodology)
