Senior Consultant, Strategic Communications - Financial Services

About the Role

We provide our clients with a comprehensive view of strategic communications that leverages our integrated suite of services, including financial communications, corporate reputation, transaction communications and public affairs in all the major markets around the world.

As a Senior Consultant on the Financial Services team, you will take an active role in supporting the day-to-day management of client accounts. You will be responsible for managing both up and down within account teams to appropriately service client communications and investor relations programs. You will interact with and provide communications support at client companies; develop and execute communications strategies to deliver results and meet client expectations; draft documents for client use (including communications plans, strategy memos, press releases, interview preparation memos, etc.); provide perspective to clients on internal, peer, and market developments as such pertains to the media and marketplace; regularly plan for media/investor interaction and converse with the media and investment communities.

What You'll Do
  • Craft narratives, messages, and pitches that are clear, concise, and impactful
  • Assist senior team members in developing new business initiatives (e.g. conducting research on new business opportunities, reviewing PowerPoint presentations and proposals, etc.)
  • Actively contribute to both internal and client meetings by offering strategic and creative insights
  • Maintain a self-driven passion to stay abreast of client issues and related industry trends, participate in industry networking events and inform team leaders of potential new business opportunities
  • You're an organizer. Strong time and priority management skills and an ability to juggle multiple client accounts
  • You're a communicator. You write well and are careful with your words because you know how important they are
  • You're a go-getter. You don't need someone to tell you what to do. You have a strong work ethic and an ability to be a self-starter
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and set priorities

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, finance, economics, or a related field
  • Minimum 2+ years of work experience in corporate communications, media relations, public relations, or related field
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and set priorities
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Comfort with numbers is a plus
