Child Care Center - Teacher - Part Time

Job Description
We are seeking experienced teachers for our Licensed Early Childhood Education Center. Applicants must possess the skills and confidence to promote the social, physical and intellectual growth of children by providing quality child care. Experience in planning and implementing age appropriate curriculum while assessing and responding to the individual needs of children is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required.

For more than 35 years, Saint Luke's Child Care Center has supported the mission and vision of Saint Luke's Health System by providing a stimulating and nurturing environment for the children of Health System employees. The curriculum is based on the theories of Project Construct and Creative Curriculum with the goal of kindergarten readiness.

Job Requirements:
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Basic care giving
  • Flexibility in work assignments
  • Provide a clean and well organized classroom
  • Plan and implement age appropriate lesson plans
  • State required in-service trainings
  • Commitment and dedication to providing a safe learning environment for all children
  • Establish and maintain effective, professional working relationships with parents and staff
  • Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and quality of work
