The Opportunity:
Saint Luke's Crittenton Children's Center in South Kansas City, MO is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide direct supervision to the Behavioral Health Technicians. Your experience and expertise will allow you to successfully create and delegate job assignments and ensure that residents are being properly cared for, treatment is occurring, and residents are safe. Monday - Friday, 3:30pm - 12:00am
Weekend hours periodically required
The Work:
- Assists BHT's to provide a safe and therapeutic milieu environment for all residents in compliance with agency policies and procedures
- Provides oversight for BHT's to report and record resident behaviors
- Ensures implementation of behavioral interventions described in the treatment plan
- Ensures that educational and treatment focused groups with residents occur that are appropriate with training and supervision
- Oversight of CMT's to administer medications to residential population
- On-board new employees/BHT's
- Helps to coordinate schedules of work and training for BHT's
- Regularly communicates with the Residential Treatment Manager about job performance of BHT's, training needs of BHT's, milieu issues, and ideas to enhance the Residential Treatment Program.
- Attends and contributes to meetings regarding outcome measures and quality assurance
We are seeking a Supervisor of Behavioral Health Techs with experience working with children. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the system and processes of mental health care. This position will require the skills necessary to develop communication systems that triage workloads on a daily basis. We are looking for someone with great communication and written skills with a warm, caring attitude. To be successful in this role, you must be detail oriented, efficient, adaptable, and capable of multitasking. This position requires you to work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously.
- Must have recent and directly related management experience
- Must have extensive experience handling employee relations issues
- Clean driving record as this position occasionally requires driving
