Job Overview

The development of digital construction processes and solutionsare revolutionizing the building industry. 3D Digital layout, VDC, offsite modular building and construction verification are all exciting trends and adoption is gaining pace.

This is an exciting developing business sector and Topcon has leading products and solutions to offer to improve our customers workflows and productivity. Topcon's product portfolio including the unique new Layout Navigator LN-150 redefines field positioning in the construction sector.

In this position you will be responsible for the development of existing business partners and to seek out new partners and distributors across Europe. You will be part of the team reporting to the Distribution expansion manager.

As a business development manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Developing and expanding the distribution in the BIM/MEP space using a hands-on approach and directly provide presentations and introductions of the equipment to potential customers and distributors
  • Contributing and Executing the BIM/MEP strategic vision
  • Exploring/seeking out new BIM/MEP markets and initiates plans to capture new opportunities in the space.
  • Interacting with key BIM/MEP partners and major accounts.
  • Engage with large accounts
  • Lead pilot projects
  • Monitoring sales activity against budget.
  • Providing sales forecasting and progress reports
  • Travelling intensively for approximately 60% of your working time across Europe.


About you

You are an experienced sales professional who takes ownership and is result driven. With a strong background in construction and technical solutions you can be positioned as an expert. You like networking and it is in your nature to bring out the best in others. You are entrepreneurial, proactive and able to maintain contacts with different stakeholders at various levels. Travelling across Europe is no problem for you. You have proven track record and qualifications as:
  • 5+ years in business development and/or sales position
  • Proven experience in Vertical Construction or Building Construction business
  • Up to date with current BIM practice and implementation of site / field workflows
  • Experience of BIM AEC Software: Familiarity with Autodesk products is an advantage
  • BIM/MEP market, technology, application, software and product knowledge
