Human Resources Administrator

ABOUT THE JOB:

We are looking for an HR Administrator to support the Human Resources department in our Canada/Alaska division.

The main duties of the HR Administrator include overseeing the recruitment process, maintaining personnel records, supporting the onboarding function and updating internal databases. Our ideal candidate has experience with HR procedures and can juggle various administrative tasks in a timely manner.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process; post requisitions, screen candidates, schedule interviews
  • Facilitate the onboarding process; work with new hires to collect required documentation, process payroll and benefit applications, schedule training
  • Update internal database (record employee changes, leaves of absence)
  • Answer employee queries about HR-related issues
  • Assist in managing the leave of absence process
  • Prepare HR documents, like employment contracts and letters
  • Create regular reports on HR metrics
  • Participate in HR projects
  • Assist other departments within HR by providing relevant employee information
  • Perform other duties as assigned


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or relevant field
  • 2+ years' of relevant Human Resources experience
  • Recruitment experience
  • Knowledge of labour laws in Provinces across Canada
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
  • Strong phone, email and in-personal communication skills
  • The ability to thrive in a highly dynamic, time-sensitive, collaborative environment
