Summary

The Change Analyst is responsible for the flow of Product Data (BOMS, Drawings, Specifications) into and through Topcon's PLM system. The Change Analyst will have expert level understanding of New Product Introduction and Engineering Change Management Processes. The Change Analyst will be the focal point between engineering, operations, and the Project Manager to ensure timely implementation of engineering changes, documentation structure and new documentation release and control within the Product Lifecycle Management Process.

Responsobilities
  • Liaison between Engineering and Cross functional team in identifying, releasing, controlling and reporting on documentation for the supported projects in development.
  • Manages and implements the processing of changes in Arena - ECOs, COs, DCOs, etc. as well as New Part Number creation.
  • Defines and implements BOM Structure, part numbering, and assembly numbering schemes based on project needs
  • Works with Project Management to understand and document the scope of product releases.
  • Manages all Engineering Changes through the review and release cycle, ensuring timely approval and processing
  • Manages and implements Document Control Procedures and supports Process creation and improvements.
  • Manages the master and history files to ensure accuracy and ensures revision control is managed according to the policy.
  • Ensures seamless flow of Logistics data from Engineering to other business systems
  • Works with Cross Functional teams to ensure all changes are implemented correctly and dispositions Serves as an Arena expert and is responsible for Arena training as required


Qualifications
  • AA degree or equivalent expereince.
  • Minimum 5 years with Change/Configuration Management (Arena, SAP, Agile etc.) and Engineering Document Control or similar role in manufacturing operations including experience working with Contract Manufacturers.
  • ISO 9001 background
  • In-depth expert level experience with Arena and SAP.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Excel spreadsheets
  • Experience with Confluence and Jira desired
  • Able to gain technical understanding of product family structure and configuration rules, and implement these as a set of BOMs
  • Solid understanding of Project Management, Operations/ Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain processes
  • Strong demonstrated commitment to teamwork and working with internal and external customers.
  • Effective and professional interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with others.
