Summary

This role is responsible for managing material requirements from production schedules and maintains inventory at planned levels. Plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle.

Responsibilites
  • Provide purchasing and material planning support for production, manufacturing and service items used in medical, construction and agricultural applications.
  • Support internal customer requirements while procuring parts for both final and sub-assemblies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Production Planning for any material availability issues and concerns.
  • Provide forecasts and SAP generated open order reports to suppliers and contract manufacturers to manage the flow of materials, delivery schedules and quantities.
  • Utilize SAP MRP on a daily basis to review real time sales and forecast demand in order to procure materials.
  • Review SAP MRP output to capture changes to requirements and expedite part deliveries or request delivery push outs when required.
  • Manage suppliers and CM's to obtain product information in the areas of price, availability, and lead times.
  • Coordinate Material Review Board activity for rejected material, including communicating Quality Notifications, obtaining RMA numbers, and communicating corrective actions to the suppliers if required.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels required to fill customer orders and to align with the supply chain sales forecast while avoiding any potential excess.
  • Can adhere to and follow strict quality and inventory management protocols as it related to the medical devices industry


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience within manufacturing planning, procurement and relevant Supply Chain Management activities.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with SAP or Oracle
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with item and bill of material (BOM) creation and management.
  • 3 years' experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system like Arena, Agile or SAP
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work across various functions, roles, organizations and cultures
  • Accountability, self-motivation and follow through to ensure work is properly supporting the goals of the Engineering, Project Management, and SCM teams
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
