Summary

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the development and application of advanced engineering concepts, theories, and research techniques in the solution of complex mechanical design to support TPS Machine Control products. This position will contribute to projects serving a wide variety of customers, such as internal company research and development efforts, commercial OEM customers, etc... As a senior team member in the engineering department, this position will serve as an active mentor to other engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities
  • Perform role of Lead Engineer during product design cycle.
  • Analyze technical feasibility of product concepts.
  • Communicate advanced engineering principals during technical discussions.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching for Junior and intermediate Engineers.
  • Advanced 3D modeling utilizing Solidwork.
  • Apply knowledge of advance engineering principals during product design cycle.
  • Perform advanced vibration and strength analysis during product design cycle.
  • Support field application kitting needs.


Qualifications
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering and more than 5 years product development and system integration experience.
  • Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design in our industries, ability to collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver complex products to production using various production methods to provide cost effective and reliable products.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide support and guidance.
  • Experience with advanced principles, theories, and concepts to complex and difficult technical problems.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid analytical capabilities, or an ability to relate observed phenomenon back to first principals.
  • Proficient with Solidworks design software.
  • Capable of lifting products, sensors and other products.
  • Install electromechanical products onto construction machinery.
