We provide our clients with a comprehensive view of strategic communications that leverages our integrated suite of services, including financial communications, corporate reputation, transaction communications and public affairs in all the major markets around the world.
As a Director on the Financial Services team, you will provide counsel to clients in developing communications strategies to manage financial, regulatory, and reputational opportunities- including influencing the outcomes of crisis, litigation, legislative/regulatory matters.
A successful Director will be self-assured in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, have the ability to develop and maintain strong " Trusted advisor" relationships with clients, effectively manage teams and Collaborate with peers, craft and execute strategy, and identify new business opportunities for the firm.
What You'll Do
- Strategic Counsel: providing expert communications, advocacy, positioning and other strategic counsel to clients
- Account Management: managing multiple accounts in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, demonstrate understanding of client information - including strategy, services, stakeholders, and motivated landscape Commercial Excellence: overseeing/managing budgets, invoicing, etc.
- Proactivity: Identify emerging opportunities to add greater value for clients
- Resourcefulness: Recognize and apply global and regional social, economic and other impactful policy trends, and translating those insights into actionable ideas
- Connectivity: Develop and maintain relationships with applicable trade associations, journalists/media outlets, think tanks and relevant industry directors to enhance and grow business
- Direct account teams on complex strategic communications direct
- Attend conferences, do prospecting and networking
- Actively manage, develop, inspire, and motivate team of consultants to excel.
- Anticipate potential challenges and evaluate strategies with senior management
How You'll Grow
You'll learn how to manage clients and teams efficiently, playing a key l eadership role as an Account Manager. You will develop a strong sense of commerciality and financial business acumen as a sector-focused communication professional. This is a terrific opportunity for a motivated, self-starter to guide a team and manage a portfolio of accounts
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience of financial services, agency, or journalism experience , with strong knowledge and network within the financial services industry.
- A passion for the markets - you should have an excellent command of the challenges and opportunities facing the Financial Services sector - particularly in fintech, banking, insurance, and asset management.
- Strategic but tactical - We look for people who are creative and think outside the box for answers. You can think strategically but also don't mind rolling up your sleeves.
- Communications expertise - You are always thinking about better ways to frame a situation or communicate more clearly. You are attuned to the needs of your audience and you're a thoughtful writer and speaker.
- Should be analytical and intellectually curious, in addition to having strong media, copy writing, and client skills.
